Experts from the World bank visited Montenegro
As a part of preparations for a loan that the World bank is planning to give for educational reform in Montenegro, experts Toby Linden and Tanja Boskovic payed their second visit to Montenegro. During their stay the experts held meetings with the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science and other relevant institutions. The main goal was to establish further steps for the implementation of five million dollar project.Priorities recognized for education reform to be covered by this loan are: teacher training, Examination centre, textbooks and ICT.Experts from the World bank met representatives of donors who provide significant help and support to education reform in Montenegro: UNDP, FOSI ROM, Save the children, UNICEF, EAR. The main aim of discussion is possibility for coordination among donor programs in order to act more efficiently and jointly on implementation. Possibilities for better coordination are recognized in: teacher training, monitoring and evaluation of projects, CDP, PRSP.Toby Linden said that he is satisfied with the dynamics of the discussions and preparations for the implementation of the project and he expects that by the end of this school year the five million loan project will begin to be implemented in Montenegro.
