Arijana Nikolic Vucinic - Acting Director-General of the Directorate for Preschool and Elementary Education an Education of Persons with Special Educational Needs

Arijana Nikolic Vucinic was born on 4 July 1975 in Podgorica. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica, where she also finished her postgraduate studies in 2007 and defended her Master’s thesis under the title “Creating the free trade zone in the South-East Europe area”. She received a number of specializations in the field of economic sciences. 

Her professional career began in the Secondary Electrotechnics School, where she worked as a professor of the subject Economics and business organization (2001). The same year she takes over the duty of the Adviser for Economic Issues in the Post of Montenegro Ltd. and stays in this position until 2004. She continues her career in the Ministry for International Economic Cooperation and European Integrations, as an adviser in the Department for Cooperation with International Economic Organizations. In December 2006, she starts to work in the Ministry of Economy as a Coordinator of the Department for Regional Trade Cooperation, Regional Organizations and Initiatives.

During her engagement in the Ministry of Economy she led and participated in a number of projects related to foreign trade, one of the most important being CEFTA 2006.

In January 2013 she was elected the Director in the Directorate of Labor Market and Employment in the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, and in 2 April 2015 she was appointed the Acting Director of the Directorate for Preschool and Elementary Education an Education of Persons with Special Educational Needs.

She speaks English.

She is married and has one child.
